Habit
Attractive, prostrate, multi-stem and expansive large shrub or small tree, 4-5 (8) m tall, 2-4 m wide; stems and branches arching upward, broadly conical as a small tree, crooked stems; slow-growing, 15-25 (40) cm a year; should not be included among the dwarf varieties

Moderately dry to fresh; adaptable and not demanding, grows both on peat substrates and loam; optimal on fresh, humic, sandy-gravelly soil. Â
