Habit

Compact cushions, shoots upright and bushy, spreads with short runners in dense mats

Blossom

Round flower heads in dense corymbs, milky white with yellowish-brown centre; flowers earlier than the variety, end of June to July

Leaves

Slenderly elliptic, with three main veins to the tip of the leaf, silvery white when shooting, then pale green, remaining white felty on the underside

Demands

Sun, never shady areas as it will only be a few roaming shoots; likes warmth, frost hardy

Soil

Moderately dry to fresh, even moist, does not tolerate extended droughts, despite its appearance substrate must be well-drained, moderately nutritious, sandy or loamy with gravel.
