Habit

Broadly bushy large shrub, 3-4 m tall and wide; becoming thicket-like due to runners; thornless twigs; slow-growing to medium

Blossom

Tube-shaped, silvery yellow; may or later, sweet fragrance

Leaves

Ovoid, somewhat wavy, unique silver of both sides; persistent into November without autumn colours

Fruits

Like olives, shiny silvery, edible from September on, sweetish, mealy taste

Shallow extended, easily and quickly forming runners, clump-like up to 5 m away from shrub; collect nitrogen

Only full sun, likes heat and drought, basically frost hardy; tolerant of urban and industrial pollution; wind resistant
