Albizia julibrissin - Persian Silk Tree

Specifications:

Habit: 
A large, spreading shrub or small tree, 5-6 m tall, 4-6 m wide, gracious, roundish, oval crown, slow-growing when young.
Flowers:
Like pompons, yellowgreen, fragrant flower heads, stamen extended, pink; summer.
Leaves:
Deciduous, pinnate, fern-like, 30-45 cm long, single leaflets (a few millimetres long), soft yellow-green, folding up like mimosa at night.
Demands:
Full sun, sheltered, sensitive to frost, cold house, does not tolerate great fluctuations in temperature, responds well to pruning.
Natural habitat:
Well drained, not too nutritious garden soil.

Zone 8a
