Small tree, 6-12 m tall, 4-6 m wide, occasionally only a large shrub with several stems; crown slenderly conical or ovoid; branches stiffly upright, twigs diagonal or arching ascending, not overhanging; slow-growing, 15-30 cm a year, after 15 years growing even less
