Fragrant, loose, white panicles, June to July; fruits inconspicuous

Three-lobed, fresh green; brick-red autumn colours October to November

Demands

Sun to semi-shade; likes cool areas, frost hardy; avoid heat and drought

Soil

Fresh to moist; humic, well drained and nutritious soil; acidic to slightly alkaline; withering on heavy or chalky soil
