(Sun to) semi-shade, likes warmth, hardy, but frost protection recommended, likes semi-shady, sheltered sites, undemanding, robust, very tolerant of pruning, avoid strong heat and winter sun, sheltered from wind

Soil

Fresh to moist, humic, not too nutritious, well-drained substrates, slightly acidic to slightly alkaline, all garden soils, no waterlogging
