Habit

Normal shrub, 2-3 m tall and wide, initially stiffly upright with forked branches; extended and arching due to the weight of the flowers; medium to fast-growing

Blossom

20-30 cm long, splendid white panicles, copper-pink when withering, from June to September for weeks, no fruit

Leaves

Coarse, ovoid, pale green leaves without autumn colours

Demands

Sunny to slightly shady; frost hardy

Soil

Acidic to neutral, humic substrates, fresh to moist; needs fertilising often when cut back hard regularly

Tips

To further flower production, the twigs of old shrubs should be shortened by 2/3 every year; remove strong twig completely
