Habit

A normal shrub or very small tree with radially arranged twigs and many shoots, medium to fast-growing

Blossom

Before leaves shoot, spectacular, luxurious flowers, buds round, carmine, pink to whitish pink when open, very double, April (May); a select spring flowering plant

As flowers only apear an two-year-old wood, cut shoots back by 1/2 or 2/3 immediately after flowering to further production and logevity
