Flowers:
Light yellow, 15 to 20 small, loose, upright cymes, May to June.
Fruits:
Samara, wide straddled wings.
Leaves:
Deciduous, dull dark green above, light green beneath, thin, papery, five to seven-lobed, lobes triangular, entire margins; attractive
autumn colour from yellow to red.
Twigs:
Pruinate, young branches shiny green or slightly reddish.
Bark:
Smooth, red-brown with brighter longitudinal stripes.

Sun to slightly shady, tolerates wind/temporary drought, frost hardy.
