Our Malus

This genus indigenous to the northern hemisphere comprises 30 species. The plethora of fruiting varieties and decorative forms come from them. Wild varieties are rarely available as they have a more modest appearance than the decorative cultivars. What the nature lover finds in forests and hedges as
supposedly natural varieties are mostly wild seedlings of fruit cultivars.
