Large shrub with many shoots, 2-6 (10) m tall and wide; domed to somewhat funnel-shaped or umbrella-shaped; twigs like switches, densely packed; taking root easily; fast-growing

When leaves shoot; modest, initially reddish, somewhat crooked catkins, then pale yellow, April; scent of honey
