Loosely upright growing large shrub, 2.5-3 m tall, 1.5-3 m wide, twigs slightly overhanging
Blossom
After leaves shoot, buds pale pink, umbel-like white panicles, 10-20 cm wide, June to July, form a beautiful contrast to the dark red foliage, fragrant, nutrient plant for wild bees and insects of all kinds
Leaves
Deeply slit, up to 30 cm long, reminiscent of dissectum types of Acer palmatum, shoots green-red, later deep purple-red, slightly glossy
Note
Regular pruning maintains a compact growth habit
