Habit

A pretty, small tree, 5-10 m tall; 4-6 m wide, only short stem or as large shrub and often with several shoots, round crown, slow-growing; 20-30 cm a year

Bright orange- red, pea-size berries in numerous umbels, turning colours from September, persistent all winter, taste always bitter and acidic, not poisonous, but almost unpalatable
