Characteristics:
Habit
Widely extended shrub, 1.5-2 m tall, 2-3 m wide; twigs horizontal, in layers, very slow-growing
Blossom
Plate-shaped cymes, up to 15 cm across, conspicuous white marginal flowers, light pink when withering, cream-white in the centre, end of May to June; lined up by the hundreds on the twigs; extraordinarily decorative shrub
Tips
Young plants do not have plentiful flowers, large specimen have luxurious flowers the year after planting
