Habit

Medium to tall shrub, 2-3 m tall and wide; shoots hanging or draping 3-5 m loosely over walls, 30-50 cm a year, sometimes up to 100 cm, fast-growing

Blossom

Smaller flowers than the other forsythias, like a yellow curtain thanks to its unique habit; golden yellow; April to May

Leaves

Ovoid, pale green, muted red in autumn, orange; October to November

Demands

Sun to shade, likes warmth, usually frost hardy; needs wind protection

Moderately dry to moist; moderately acidic to alkaline, any garden soil.
