Characteristics:
Habit
Extended, upright, impressive normal shrub with thick shoots and few branches, domed; 2 m tall and wide, slow-growing
Blossom
Plate-shaped, 15-20 cm long inflorescences on one-year shoots, marginal shoots, inner flowers light violet, bluish when withering; very persistent from July to August
Leaves
Conspicuously large, with tassels, broadly ovoid leaves; 20-40 cm long, velvety dark green, no autumn colours
