Bernhard von Ehren
As managing partner, Bernhard von Ehren is the fifth generation of the family to run the nursery. For over 155 years, the family business has been producing innovatively pruned topiaries, characterful solitary trees, magnificent avenue trees, multi-stemmed trees and shrubs, striking fruit trees, conifers and individual large bonsai.
And the potential urban trees of the future!

Passion and commitment to trees
Originally, Bernhard von Ehren dreamed of becoming a pilot, but the attraction of continuing the family business in the fifth generation prevailed and so flying became one of his most fascinating hobbies.

- 1993-1995 Training as a nursery gardener
- 1995-1996 Apprenticeship time in various tree nurseries in Germany and the USA
- 1996-2001 Dual studies in business administration
- 2001 Joining the Lorenz von Ehren nursery
- Since 2006: Managing Director
- Since 2007: Chairman of the Hamburg regional branch of the Association of German Tree Nurseries
- Since 2009: Vice President of the Association of German Tree Nurseries
- Since 2013: Managing Partner of the Lorenz von Ehren nursery
