Liriodendron- Tulip tree
Magnoliaceae
Our Liriodendron
Tulip tree is a large deciduous tree that originates from eastern to central North America.
Its name derives from its unmistakable blossoms looking like tulip flowers. Due to these attractive blossoms, liriodendron is considered an attractive ornamental tree. In Europe, liriodendron is even frost-resistant. This specie also attracts insects, especially bees, because young trees supply up to 3.6 kg of nectar per season.
