Erica - Heathers
Erica are ideal ground covers that prefer sunny to semi-shady locations. The species have different requirements for the substrates, but they should always be permeable.
Heathers achieve their best effect when planted in contiguous areas.
Erica has been used in the garden since the early 19th century, the different varieties were mainly bred in England, including varieties with striking foliage colours.
