Ascending shrub to large shrub, 2-3 (5) m tall and wide; stems upright, rising lateral twigs; asymmetrically funnel-shaped when old; slow-growing

Evergreen; lanceolate, pale to shiny green; some leaves in autumn vermilion-red and then falling

Red, round; mealy tasteless
