Leaves

Pointedly cordate to oval, green, front leaf sections on male plants are bright carmine-pink to light pink after shooting, later bleaching, like an exotic flowering shrub; yellowish in autumn; the variegated leaves are especially intense after 3-5 years

Fruits

Elongated, ovoid; berries some 2 cm, olive green, edible
