Habit

Dense, bushy semi-shrub, 0.5-1(2) m tall and wide, upright to roundish habit, twigs stiffly upright, woody at the base

Blossom

Crimson-blue to white, tube-shaped, in short racemes in the axils, winter to spring

Leaves

Evergreen, slender-linear, needle-shaped, leathery, dark to grey green on top, white tomentose underneath, often rolled down, up to 5 cm long, aromatic

Demands

Full sun, needs sheltering, not sufficiently frost hardy, cold house, responds very well to cutting
