Europäischer Gartenpreis 2022 ǀ European Garden Award 2022

Peace" and "Climate Change” topics are among the five categories for the first time

Since 2010, more than 110 people from 17 countries have been awarded the European Garden Award for outstanding achievements in contemporary garden art or the management and development of cultural landscapes and garden cultural heritage.
The European Garden Award 2022 is dedicated to current developments. "Climate adaptation measures in historical parks or gardens" were specifically included as a category. The jury spontaneously responded to the war in Ukraine and awarded a special prize. This year's awards, which were presented in the afternoon of June 24, 2022 in Castle Dyck, were won by seven European countries.
Winners from Estonia, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany and France were delighted to receive the top awards. The four 2nd prizes were awarded to Italy, Denmark, Great Britain and the Czech Republic.

„The European Garden Award from the EGHN and the Castle Dyck Foundation first given in 2010 is recognized throughout Europe and is known far beyond the EGHN. The many ideas and implementations make the selection an exciting challenge every year, which we are always happy to support."
